v5.8.4 focuses on smoother transitions across the six-step workspace. The step-two tool sidebar no longer jumps between expanded and collapsed layouts, and the settings panels in steps 3–5 now follow the direction of navigation while the lyric preview remains stable.
A smoother step-two sidebar
- On desktop, the Cleanup and Translation sidebar now changes continuously between the full tool panel and the 52 px collapsed rail.
- The expanded content and collapsed rail slide and crossfade together, while the divider follows the sidebar instead of snapping into place.
- The active tab, tool content, edit state, and scroll position remain available throughout the transition, so work can continue immediately.
Directional transitions for steps 3–5
- When moving forward, the current settings panel slides left and fades out while the next panel enters from the right and fades in.
- Back navigation reverses the direction, matching the visual response to the action.
- Only the left settings area moves. The lyric preview stays fixed, and the existing step 5→6 preview transition remains unchanged.
Reduced motion and compatibility
- When reduced motion is enabled at the system level, positional movement is removed in favor of a low-distraction state change.
- Lyric processing, AI translation, the resizable split, shared scrolling, the narrow-screen drawer, and PNG／WebP／JPG export behavior remain unchanged.
